Weekly Meetings at the St Andrew’s United Church Hall in Cochrane, Alberta. Members socialize, share painting tips/strategies, and plan club activities.
Educational Opportunities: The Club brings in leading artists to instruct our members at least twice a year in various mediums.
Public Shows and Sales: May Art Show and Sale is the main club event of the year. Preparation for this event, which is always the first weekend in May, involves all the members who work diligently to produce one of the finest art shows in southern Alberta.
The club has maintained a tradition of ensuring that all the original paintings remain on display from the Saturday morning opening until the Show and Sale closes Sunday evening. Visitors enjoy being able to view all the artwork entered into the event, as well as, following the progress of the artists, and visiting with friends. The event is held in the beautiful and warm ambience of the Chinook Room and the Hall of Vision at the Cochrane Ranche House, in the Town of Cochrane.
Small Works Art Sale giving visitors the opportunity to purchase smaller original paintings, as well as prints and cards. This event will be held at location TBA in the Cochrane, AB for 2016.
